👨🍳 Contestant Pre-Flight Checklist
- Fuel Load: Bring at least 5 quarts of your finest chili.
- Ground Equipment: Serve it in your own slow cooker—no open-flame or jet-engine burners allowed.
- Operating Temperature: Maintain 145°F+ at all times (165°F for reheats). We want hot chili, not a cold-weather delay!
- Flight Manifest: List all allergens, heat level, and vegan/vegetarian status when you register or before you taxi into the event.
- Ground Support: Table space, serving spoons, bowls, toppings, and sides will be provided—no need to bring your own ground crew.
- Arrival Window: Wheels-down by 10:15 AM (no later than 10:30 AM or you’ll miss your slot on the chili runway).
🏆 Awards and Scoring
- Placements: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Positions (+ bragging rights until next year).
- Voting: Determined by popular vote—yes, votes can be purchased, so bring your family, friends, and anyone with loose change. 💵💸
- Prizes: Currently in the hangar undergoing final assembly—we promise they’ll be plane-awesome when finalized!
